AEO · evidence and practical implementation
Correct inaccurate AI answers by tracing the underlying facts
Save the claim, verify the entity and inspect supporting sources. Correcting your own information is possible; forcing a platform to forget or recommend a business is not a service guarantee.
Preserve the exact problem
Record the question, platform, date, visible response and cited URLs. Distinguish an incorrect fact from an unfavourable opinion or missing mention. Check whether the answer describes a similarly named company, a former business activity or an outdated product. Avoid sharing personal or customer-confidential information in an unrestricted correction log.
Fix the authoritative source first
Use approved business facts to update the relevant official owner page. Align material conditions across service text, contact information and accurate structured data. Investigate independent sources with conflicting facts and prepare a specific factual correction request where appropriate. Do not create fake independent mentions to drown out the error or claim control over a publisher’s editorial decision.
Retest without promising removal
Save the changed source version and repeat the recorded question panel across dates. A later correct answer is an observation, not proof that a particular edit caused it or that all platforms have updated. Use official feedback routes where available and appropriate. Keep unresolved errors visible with an owner and next check rather than selling guaranteed “AI removal”.
