AEO · evidence and practical implementation
AI visibility readiness: an evidence checklist you can complete
Review observable foundations without calculating a fictional probability of citation. Use the printable worksheet or complete the checks locally in your browser.
What this exercise can establish
The checklist asks whether the team has verified concrete inputs: a public page, readable explanation, accurate identity, factual owner, useful evidence, working enquiry route, a repeatable question panel and an honest outcome record. It cannot inspect your website automatically, determine an engine’s private selection rules or forecast customer demand. “Unknown” should trigger investigation, not be silently treated as failure or success.
Attach evidence to every answer
Keep the tested URL, timestamp, approved source or local test record beside each check. A colleague should be able to reproduce the observation. A service description can be complete for one audience and incomplete for another, so state the buyer task and language. Use the downloadable blank worksheet for the evidence details; the browser checklist does not send your answers or perform a scan.
Make the result actionable
Count completed checks only as progress through this list. A broken contact route and a missing review date are not equivalent business risks just because each occupies one checkbox. Prioritise critical facts, access and conversion issues before expanding the content library. Discuss unresolved work with the responsible specialist and verify the eventual change. There is no “100 means ChatGPT will cite us” threshold.
Local completion checklist
Select only checks supported by evidence. No scan, account, transmission or citation prediction. Unchecked means not confirmed. Reloading clears the answers.
Download the blank CSV worksheet
CSV opens in spreadsheet applications. Keep evidence locally or in your authorised workspace; no answers are submitted by this download.
