AEO · evidence and practical implementation
AEO for B2B services: support the buying group’s evidence needs
A complex purchase involves users, specialists, management and procurement. Map their decisions to evidence and service scope rather than treating one AI mention as a completed sale.
Map roles to questions
The user wants operational fit, the technical reviewer needs dependencies, management needs a credible business case and procurement needs terms and acceptance. Keep one service owner explaining the actual engagement, supported by methodological guides where detail is needed. A long buying cycle can revisit the same evidence through several people and channels.
Publish what can be verified
Describe input requirements, deliverables, client responsibilities, implementation boundaries and review criteria. Use approved customer proof only when permission exists; otherwise provide a clearly illustrative sample and a transparent method. A niche service often needs a precise qualification explanation more than a generic “best agency” claim.
Connect content to qualified demand
Define a qualified enquiry with the business before counting it. Record observed source information and optional self-reported discovery where appropriate, without placing personal data into general analytics. Separate successful contact, sales qualification and signed work. Use handover records and periodic review to support retention; AEO alone does not operate the entire customer relationship.
