AEO · evidence and practical implementation
Evidence-led comparison pages: fair criteria and inspectable conclusions
Help a buyer choose using a transparent method. Separate observed tests, official specifications and opinions, and do not invent best-of rankings.
Define the decision before the shortlist
State the buyer task, required market, product class and inclusion criteria. Explain why the selected alternatives are comparable and what is excluded. A local consultancy and a self-service software subscription can solve different parts of a problem; comparing them as interchangeable products can mislead. Disclose relevant commercial relationships.
Keep a claim ledger
For each criterion record the source, date, applicable plan or version and whether it was actually tested. “Documentation states” is different from “we measured”. If a price or limit cannot be verified, mark it unverified rather than filling a neat table with a guess. Keep material exceptions beside the result and retain the evidence for later updates.
Give conclusions a boundary
Explain which alternative fits a particular situation under the stated criteria. Do not claim universal superiority from one narrow example. Include a route to current official information and a review trigger when products change. Useful comparison content lets a reader disagree with the weighting while still inspecting the facts; it is not disguised self-awarded proof.
