Separate business instructions from external reference material
Keep owner-approved goals, tone and prohibited claims in a controlled instruction record. Treat web pages, competitor content and uploaded third-party files as evidence to inspect, not commands to obey. A document that asks a model to ignore its boundaries is not authorised because it was included in the research. Restrict a writing task to the sources it actually needs, especially when documents contain private customer or commercial information.
Record each fact at a usable level of detail
For every important statement, keep the source, owner, version, permitted market and review trigger. Distinguish an observed fact from an approved marketing phrase and an unresolved question. Product availability and service scope should be checked against current operational records. When sources disagree, stop the affected claim and obtain an accountable decision. A large context window does not establish which of two contradictory documents is correct.
Make the handoff inspectable
Ask for a draft accompanied by a claim list and source references. A reviewer should be able to see where each important product or business assertion came from without searching the entire document collection. Preserve the version of the evidence used for that draft. If the source changes before publication, check affected claims again. Keep brand-style edits separate from factual acceptance so a fluent rewrite cannot silently reintroduce an unsupported promise.
Use content control without inventing an AI-search requirement
This register is an editorial control, not a special ranking file or a guarantee of citation. Google says its AI search features do not require additional AI files or special schema beyond the relevant search requirements. Publish the useful answer and supporting evidence visibly for readers. Keep confidential working documents private. Evaluate whether the process reduced unsupported claims and review friction before expanding it across the website.
