A useful performance overview should help a team choose what to do next. This fictional playbook replaces a large collection of charts with a short evidence-led review. It is not a measured Gavek customer success story.
Choose a decision for the meeting
State whether the team must prioritise repairs, approve content work or investigate a change in enquiries. Select only measures relevant to that decision. Include the source, period and important limitations so that people do not compare a keyword estimate with actual sales as though they were the same quantity.
Combine delivery and customer evidence
Show what was released, what remains blocked and what the business observed afterward. A completed task and a commercial outcome belong in different columns. Keep unresolved questions visible, especially when tracking failures or campaigns make interpretation difficult. Simplicity should remove clutter, not uncertainty.
End with ownership and a review point
Choose a small number of actions and assign each to someone who can deliver it. Define what evidence would close the task and when the team will review it. Retain the previous overview so that changes in priorities and assumptions remain traceable.
Put the method to work
Illustrative meeting: a small business sees stable visits but fewer suitable enquiries. The overview highlights an altered form and several incomplete requests. The next action tests the form journey and lead definition before commissioning more articles to increase traffic.
Your next steps
- Write the meeting’s decision.
- Separate delivery from outcomes.
- Label data sources and uncertainty.
- Record actions, owners and review dates.
Questions & answers
Does a simple overview hide detail?
It should link to supporting evidence. The meeting view stays concise while the underlying records remain available.
Is this a live Gavek reporting dashboard?
No. It is a planning example. Gavek’s workspace illustration uses sample data and does not connect to your analytics account.
