Practical resources

Choose a keyword tool with a task-based scorecard

Choose a keyword tool by data task, English and Danish coverage, source transparency and a usable export rather than the longest keyword list.

Original guide · English & Danish

The right keyword tool depends on the decisions you need to make and the markets you serve. Compare discovery, evidence and workflow using the same task. A large keyword count is not automatically better coverage of your actual customers.

Separate the data jobs

Decide whether you need ideas, observed first-party queries, estimated demand, difficulty indicators or ongoing position observations. These are different outputs with different limitations. A tool that groups a supplied list does not necessarily discover live search volume, and an estimate does not reveal guaranteed commercial demand.

Test your real language and market

Use representative English and Danish terms, including local phrasing, inflections and ambiguous words. Check how the tool treats variants and whether results can be traced to a market and collection date. Review low-volume specialist topics rather than testing only broad popular queries.

Evaluate export and ownership

Try turning results into a page brief with intent, evidence, proposed destination and review status. Include provider limits, source transparency, collaboration needs and total cost. Gavek’s rule-based intent grouper works with supplied text; it is not a live keyword-volume database or an automatic guarantee of correct intent.

Put the method to work

Illustrative example

Illustrative scorecard: a Danish service team tests technical terms and everyday customer phrases. It checks market labels, inspects a sample of results and exports a small page-planning list. A tool receives credit for usable evidence, not for producing the longest unreviewed spreadsheet.

Your next steps

  1. Name the required data job.
  2. Test both target languages.
  3. Inspect ambiguous and specialist terms.
  4. Evaluate a usable brief export.

Questions & answers

Does a difficulty score predict my result?

No. Treat it as a provider-specific input that requires context, not a promise about your website.

Does Gavek supply current search volumes?

No. The current local grouping tool categorises supplied phrases with rules and does not fetch live volume data.
