What Gavek’s public-page snapshot fetcher does

Understand Gavek’s on-demand public-page snapshot: initial HTML checks, request limits, browser differences and the boundaries of the current tool.

Original guide · English & Danish

The website snapshot requests a public page to inspect initial HTML signals. It is an on-demand diagnostic fetch, not a site-wide indexing bot or a continuous rank-monitoring service. This page explains the current boundary of that behaviour.

Understand the request scope

A submitted address is checked before the request. The server reads the page response within bounded time and size limits, and reports selected HTML information. The snapshot does not sign into accounts, obtain private Search Console information or automatically submit changes to the target website.

Separate fetching from browser experience

A fetched HTML response may differ from what a fully rendered browser displays. Scripts, access controls, bot protection and request conditions can affect the result. If a check fails, inspect the address and the website’s own response before assuming the business is invisible to all search engines.

Use a controlled diagnostic process

Submit a public page you want to review and compare important findings with the page itself. Avoid secrets, private URLs or personal customer information. For a recurring or site-wide assessment, agree appropriate access, collection scope and data handling separately rather than repeatedly submitting large sets of pages.

Put the method to work

Illustrative example

Illustrative use: an owner checks a public service page and compares the reported title with its initial HTML. A protection page appears instead of the expected content. The owner investigates that response; the snapshot is not treated as proof that every legitimate search crawler receives the same result.

Your next steps

  1. Submit only a public page address.
  2. Read the returned scope and errors.
  3. Verify important HTML findings.
  4. Arrange broad crawling separately.

Questions & answers

Does the snapshot execute every script?

No. It inspects initial HTML and does not reproduce a full interactive browser session.

Is this a public Gavek bot API?

No public crawler API or continuous monitoring subscription is currently offered. Use the available tool within its stated scope.
