Policies & working methods

Expand your SEO service scope when evidence supports it

Decide whether to expand SEO support by checking bottlenecks, ownership, delivery capacity and the value of additional work.

Original guide · English & Danish

A larger SEO engagement should solve a clear constraint. More reports, articles or tracked terms are not automatically more useful. Gavek offers free public tools and enquiries about separately scoped services; this page is not an account-upgrade checkout or subscription offer.

Identify the real constraint

Review what prevents useful work from being completed. The problem may be limited development time, missing subject expertise, weak measurement or competing priorities. Buying a larger package does not solve an ownership problem when nobody can implement recommendations already available.

Compare expansion with alternatives

Write the additional deliverables, their owners and the decisions each supports. Compare external support with internal training, a smaller technical project or postponing lower-value work. Include data-provider fees, meetings and implementation time in the comparison, not just the supplier's headline price.

Agree changes before work starts

An expansion needs a written scope, delivery expectations, access arrangements, review point and commercial terms. Separate proposed work from already approved work. Define the handover and what would justify continuing, reducing or ending the expanded scope. A clear decision now prevents an ambiguous invoice later.

Put the method to work

Illustrative example

Illustrative decision: a shop can identify technical problems but lacks implementation capacity. Instead of buying more audit reports, it requests a defined project to correct one template and verify the change. This describes a purchasing decision, not a guaranteed revenue outcome.

Your next steps

  1. List unfinished recommendations and their blockers
  2. Define extra work and its owner
  3. Compare total effort with a smaller alternative
  4. Agree scope and price before granting access

Questions & answers

Can I upgrade a Gavek subscription here?

No paid software subscription or self-service upgrade is currently provided. Use the contact route to discuss a defined specialist requirement.

How can we prevent scope creep?

Record additions as explicit changes, including effects on timing and price. Review them before implementation rather than treating every new request as included.
